Formed in 1990's Japan by Makoto Kawabata + ACID MOTHERS TEMPLE + the previously described noise-freaks-turned-millennial-hippies have since released around 80 albums, representing one of the most daunting discographies in contemporary music. The effervescent psych prog masters have also toured extensively, performing years of head-melting psychedelia at more than 100 yearly shows around America and Europe, including at the famed Glastonbury Festival. Immensely prolific in the studio and controlledly chaotic live, A.M.T.'s every musical gesture seems so amplified or exaggerated as if they are cosmic troubadours intending their work to be experienced from across the solar system. Specialising in trip music, a meltdown of entire genres and movements all reimagined in a freak out form, quite possibly fitting to liquefy your consciousness. Pure and visceral and, as their numerous worldwide fans would attest, simply one of the greatest live band gigs out there. Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O. : Kawabata Makoto: guitar, speed guru with Cotton Casino: voice, synthesizer In a non-stop stream of thrilling noise, ACID MOTHERS TEMPLE segue from supercharged stomp-rock, through doomy choral chanting and frazzled go-go, to a thundering melee of atonal freakouts. Then on to a pulsating, echo-drenched disco-rock groove, which morphs into a motorik rhythm too rapid even for the autobahn, works itself into a squalling frenzy, breaks cover as a kind of galloping, syncopated, underworld-with-rabies affair, and flows into a long, chiming trance number climaxing in a collective instrumental howl. ~The Guardian
Higashi Hiroshi: synthesizer, fishin'god
Jyonson Tsu: voice, guitar, bouzouki, midnight whislter
Satoshima Nani: drums, another dimension
Sawano Shozo: bass, hex man
