Now, that sound lives on with Angelo Starr, Edwin’s younger brother, taking the mic and keeping the legacy alive, backed by the very same band that shared the stage with Edwin himself.

Angelo has earned his own spotlight. A seasoned performer and multi-instrumentalist, Angelo has spent decades perfecting his craft, blending the grit and groove of Northern Soul, Motown and classic R&B with a fresh, high-energy live show that packs out venues across the UK and Europe.

Expect a set stacked with pure soul gold: “War”, famously penned by Motown’s Norman Whitfield, still hits with the same raw power today, while the infectious groove of “25 Miles” and disco-tinged “Contact” remind us why Edwin Starr’s catalogue remains etched into music history. But it doesn’t stop there, the band takes a joyous detour through the wider Motown and soul universe, with floor-fillers like “Superstition”, “My Girl” and “(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher & Higher”, all delivered with the tight, polished sound of a world-class live band.

With original members on stage and a catalogue that defined an era, this is a night steeped in soul, packed with stories, grooves and the kind of live energy that gets under your skin.
