Citizen Live & Epoché ArtEventi are pleased to present Antonio Ornano and his show "Unresolved Caucasian Male", for the first time in the iconic setting of Dingwalls Camden in London, on Sunday, 8 June 2025. For the occasion, the venue will be transformed into a theatre with unassigned seating.

The protagonist of this unstoppable stream of consciousness is a man who navigates life with loose morals, low self-esteem, and a hefty dose of cynicism. At a certain age, one tends to take stock, reflect, and perhaps realise they've spent most of their life projecting themselves forward and breaking into pieces—each one designed to save their own skin.

Perhaps it's all just an attempt to earn the desire to be seen—and maybe even loved—by those around him and by the audience he chases desperately, trying to make them laugh, because as he himself says (borrowing a line from an old movie), in that moment he feels special.
Maybe it’s finally time to seek help from a psychologist, something he's always avoided—not out of scepticism, but because, being from Genoa, the idea of shelling out €80 an hour to someone who just silently listens to his mental ramblings doesn’t sit well. After all, if Woody Allen had been from Liguria, we might have missed out on more than half of his masterpieces.

And so, he finds himself hearing from a good therapist: “You are an unresolved Caucasian male—one of us, in a way—finally going through a transformative phase. Let it all out.”
And that’s how he ends up writing and stepping back onto the stage.

Citizen Live & Epoché ArtEventi sono lieti di presentare Antonio Ornano e il suo spettacolo "Maschio Caucasico Irrisolto", per la prima volta nell'iconica cornice del Dingwalls Camden di Londra, Domenica 8 Giugno 2025, che per l'occasione sarà adattato a Teatro con posti a sedere non numerati.

Il protagonista di questo irrefrenabile flusso di coscienza è un uomo che affronta la vita con una morale approssimativa, scarsa autostima ed una notevole dose di cinismo. Ad una certa età capita di tirare le somme, fare bilanci e magari scoprire di aver trascorso gran parte della propria vita proiettati in avanti e frantumati in tanti pezzi, ciascuno dei quali funzionale a salvarsi le piume.

Forse è solo per guadagnarsi il desiderio di essere visto e possibilmente amato, da chi gli sta attorno e da quel pubblico che insegue disperatamente per farlo ridere, perché come dice lui stesso, rubando la battuta di un vecchio film, in quel momento si sente speciale. Forse è giunto il momento di chiedere l’aiuto di uno psicologo da cui si è sempre rifiutato di andare, non tanto per scetticismo quanto perché da genovese l’idea di sganciare 80 euro all’ora ad un tipo che ascolta in silenzio le proprie seghe mentali gli prende un po’ male, d’altronde se Woody Allen fosse stato ligure ci saremmo persi più della metà dei suoi capolavori.

E allora capita di sentirsi dire da uno bravo: ““Lei è un maschio caucasico irrisolto, uno di noi insomma, che finalmente attraversa una fase trasformativa, si sfoghi”. E così capita di scrivere e risalire sul palco.
