Beltane In The Garden

Chelsea Physic Garden, London.

Join us for a magical evening of plant folklore and ritual to celebrate May Day and the Celtic festival of Beltane - the coming of summer! Hooray!

During this immersive interactive evening you will be greeted by the Spring sprite of the Garden, who will take you on an enchanting tour of the garden's May blooms.

Afterwards you will witness through performance the symbolic ‘handing over’ from the winter hag to the summer goddess, and then you’ll have the opportunity to participate in an uplifting Beltane sing-along and ritual to welcome in the warmer sunnier days.

Tour and performances will be led by Maria Beadell who is an actor, writer and founder of Herstorical Tours. Expect outdoor live comedy, song and even original art to admire!
