As seen and heard on BBC News, Radio 1 Biggest Weekend, The Guardian, The Sunday Times, Time Out, ITV, MTV, Popsugar, The Mirror, National Gallery, fabric, Glastonbury Festival, V&A Museum. FAQs and Boring Bits Bye bye glowsticks BFLF made the decision to stop giving out glowsticks due to environmental issues with single use plastics. We try to be as environmentally friendly as we can at our events using biodegradable balloons where possible, recycling our mural pens and being mindful of the materials we use on our craft tables. People are still welcome to bring them. We’ve had loads of positive support for this, so we hope you embrace it too! Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? All ages very welcome, but activities are designed with 0-8 years olds in mind. Music is played at safe levels for everyone. What’s the refund policy? There is a no refund policy, but if you are unable to attend you may sell your tickets to someone else. Tickets and larger groups For families with younger children (8s and under) though all ages are welcome, as long as there are both adults and children in your party. Adult-only groups are not admitted. A max of 3 children per adult in a family. Each member of your group must have a ticket and pre-walking infants free (but ticketed). Will cost more on the door (if tickets are available). Safety Adults remain responsible for their children at all times. The event will be busy. The dancefloor is for adults and children to dance together. For indoor events low lighting/club lighting rigs (no strobes) are used. Please be aware that events are standing/dancing with limited seating. Each event is stewarded and risk assessed in advance. Buggies must be left in buggy park outside the event space and will not be allowed on the dance floor. A licensed bar will be open during the event but no glass is permitted. Sound levels Music level is set and monitored throughout to abide by WHO guidelines. This is far lower than usual clubs levels, but given the number of children attending there is a constant level of background noise during the event. We advise all babies under 1 wear ear defenders. Toilets and nappy changing facilities There are toilets on all floors and changing tables and/or mats will be available. There will be no high-chairs available. Photography We may photograph or film small parts of the event and by entering you are giving your permission for these to be used for BFLF promotion purposes. Just a reminder… Please be aware that BFLF is designed to provide a family-friendly, authentic club experience and is not a traditional children’s party or disco. There will be no kids’ music, games or DJ shout outs. The effect is to give families unity on the dancefloor – dancing together. DJs will be announced in advance of each party via Twitter and Facebook but may be subject to unavoidable change.
