Hailing originally from Accrington Lancashire. It wasn't until he moved to the seaside town of Llandudno at the tender age of 8 before he started to learn the guitar and first entertained the guests who were staying at his parents B&B hotel.
Fast forward to secondary school and that was where he met Van McCann, Benji Blakeway and Jon Barr who formed the band Catfish & The Bottlemen. Billy initially taught Van & Ben how to play guitar a year or so beforehand and then once their song crafting took place in their local rehearsal room, it seemed like they all knew what they were destined to do and worked for it until the hard graft paid dividends with a record deal.
In 2013 that dream came true when they signed to communion records after being spotted in a small venue in London playing to only a handful of people.
Then by September 2014 they had their debut album 'The Balcony' released which as recently as 2023 went on to achieve 2x platinum status and selling over a million worldwide with billions of streams amassed too!
Now Billy Bibby is performing that album in its purest form of a stripped back acoustic set featuring all the tracks recorded on it. 'The Balcony Tour' will be full of nostalgia, spirited voices, and short anecdotes about the times spent writing and recording it.
