Canned Pineapple are a 5-piece scuzz pop outfit based in the UK. The quintet consists of songwriters Seán Drury and Oakley Gardiner alongside guitarchitect prodigy Gabe Rice, sex cymbal Charlie Pringle and sub surfer Sam Cullen. A band of brothers waggin’ out; Canned Pineapple is the result of interplanetary telekinesis between the great beyond and the great norm. Over the last 3 years, the band have toured relentlessly worldwide. In 2024 they played their biggest shows ever hitting venues and festivals across the UK, US, and EU playing alongside timeless acts such as LCD Soundsystem, The National, and The Last Dinner Party. With their second EP: ‘Big Break’ (out digitally and on vinyl March 21st 2025) the band are bringing more energy to the songs and to the stage than ever. Canned Pineapple’s music found its way onto the airwaves with frequent plays on BBC Radio 6 Music, Radio X and BBC Sussex and Surrey while also having started 2025 with their second BBC Introducing Live Lounge. With praise from magazines such as Dork, So Young, and Clash, BBC Introducing have claimed their fan engagement to be “off the scale”. Bristol’s Nobody’s Dad emerged in the early 2020s with a raw and gritty sound rooted in alt-rock. Led by vocalist and rhythm guitarist Phoebe Stokes, the band’s distinctly shoegaze nature creates a unique blend of warm and melancholic sounds which are effortlessly relatable. Taking their cues from the likes of 90s punk and the rising British alternative scene, the group share real life experiences - weaving relationships, mental health, and coming of age in post 2020 Britain. The band quickly formed a shared addiction to the likes of The Breeders, Smashing Pumpkins and Hole - ‘echoing punk influences and shoegaze lyricism’ (Gear Magazine). The result is a mesmerising shimmer of tones which wraps around you from the very first listen. After only a year of gigs on the local circuit, the group reached a high point, supporting rising dream-poppers She’s In Parties in 2023. 2024 saw the release of their debut single ‘Angel’. The band also featured on the lineup of the October edition of ‘Rough Trade Recommends’, casting them further into the heart of Bristol’s music scene 2025 has already become another year of opportunity, with the band earning bigger support slots for artists including Girl Scout and Kate Nash. This year has seen the band’s music grow. Fan-favourite ‘Margo’ dropped in January and featured on John Kennedy’s X-Posure show on Radio X. April saw the release of their third single ‘You Don’t Communicate’ which has seen praise on Tik Tok, marking an exciting time for Nobody’s Dad.
