This eight-piece band dives straight into the classics that made funk and disco impossible to resist, from "Good Times" and "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough" to "Jungle Boogie" and "Celebration". The set draws on the sounds of Kool & The Gang, Earth, Wind & Fire, Chic and The Jacksons, with crisp horns, deep pocket and the kind of rhythmic confidence that keeps one song rolling cleanly into the next.
There's serious experience behind the fun. Members of the band have performed alongside artists including George Michael and Alexander O'Neal, and that level of musicianship shows in the detail, sharp arrangements, disciplined playing and a feel for exactly when to let the groove breathe.
Funk and disco have always lived or died by timing, and Celebrate know precisely how to keep a room with them. Expect a dancefloor-minded set full of big choruses, lean basslines and the sort of hooks that still do their job in seconds.
