Steve Mitchell leads a stunning live experience that moves beyond nostalgia, diving deep into the artistry of George Michael’s songwriting and stagecraft. This carefully curated 2025 production captures the elegance and emotional depth of George’s later years - think the sublime 1996 MTV Unplugged session at London’s Three Mills Studio, hailed by Rolling Stone as “a masterclass in restraint and soul”.

It’s a musically rich journey through George’s world. With Steve’s warm vocals and a band of razor-sharp musicians, the set blends solo gems like “Father Figure”, “Amazing”, “Fastlove”, “Freedom” and “Too Funky” with all-out Wham! energy -“Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go”, “Club Tropicana”, “Careless Whisper” and more.

Adding an extra layer of authenticity is bassist Dave West, who performed on early sessions for Wham!’s original tracks, including “Wham Rap!” and “Careless Whisper”. His presence ties the performance back to George’s earliest recording roots.

Steve Mitchell, who began singing George’s songs as a teenager, brings his own interpretation to the work of an artist who sold over 120 million records, collaborated with Aretha Franklin and Elton John, and was once called “the best voice in British pop” by David Bowie.
