With a voice as deep as the Pacific and flow smoother than jazz, Chali 2na is a towering figure in underground hip-hop. Best known as the baritone anchor of Jurassic 5 and Ozomatli, the Chicago-born, L.A.-raised MC blends golden-era lyricism with socially conscious rhymes. His breakout came with J5’s 1997 debut, which reignited interest in old-school group dynamics. A frequent collaborator—from Linkin Park to Roots Manuva—Chali 2na’s 2009 solo album Fish Outta Water showcased his versatility. Equally revered for his art, he's a visual artist with exhibitions worldwide. Chali 2na stands as hip-hop’s renaissance man—steady, soulful, and unmistakable.
