Chelsea And The River: Walking Tour
NATIONAL ARMY MUSEUM, London.
The Thames is arguably London's most iconic landmark. Its impact in shaping the development, commerce and people of the capital is particularly evident in Chelsea.
Thomas Mcloughlin will explore the history of the Chelsea riverside, detailing its history, its impact on the wider area, and some of the key moments that have shaped the lives of its residents throughout the ages.
He will also provide an insight into the world of mudlarking and how this often-isolated pastime has provided some of the greatest historic finds in recent years.
