Cottingham Comedy Club - two-time winner of Yorkshire's Best Independent Comedy Club (2023 & 2024) - returns to The Back Room with a genuine circuit favourite headlining our August show.

Headliner: Dave Twentyman

One of the most naturally funny comics working the UK circuit - upbeat, warm and quick on his feet. Dave survived a childhood in St Helens by evolving rapid, startlingly-bright patter and a smile he seemingly stole from Barry Manilow, and is now in hot demand at the biggest clubs in the UK and overseas. He's played the main stages at Leeds, V Festival and Download, appeared on Made in the Northwest (ITV), and is one of the few modern comedians proudly featured on the Blackpool Comedy Carpet alongside the greats. He's also toured as support for Jason Manford and John Bishop. With jokes and tales you can't help but relate to, he wins over even the rowdiest of rooms with ease.

Described by the BBC as "delightfully blunt and immensely endearing," Anth is a BBC North East New Act of the Year finalist and Runner-Up in the Great Yorkshire Fringe New Comedian of the Year. He's toured as support for Carl Hutchinson and is a comedy club regular right across the UK.

Plus two more up-and-coming acts to be announced, all hosted by your regular co-compères - award-winning Fresh Prince of Hull Fair Jed Salisbury and Admin Manager Stone Cold Rich Austin.

Cottingham Comedy Club is an intimate room that gets you up close and personal with the acts - many breaking through into TV, alongside established names from the UK and international circuit.
