With his debut album ‘Porcelain’ on the horizon, singer-songwriter Danny Addison returns with the second single, ‘Tribe’ . Stirring, cinematic and quietly confrontational, ‘Tribe’ explores the darker edges of human conviction, the seduction of moral certainty and the line between belief and blind allegiance and a single that now finds its true home on his upcoming debut album.

Newly recorded for the album, set against a sweeping arrangement of intricate guitar, strings and Addison’s signature emotive vocal, ‘Tribe’ asks what happens when righteousness curdles into something dangerous. It’s a meditation on echo chambers, outrage culture and the complex psychology of belonging, how noble ideas can become corrupted, and how easily our need to be right can mask something far more narcissistic.

Following the release of his acclaimed single ‘Pheromone’, a brooding portrait of temptation and desire, ‘Tribe’ marks another bold step forward in Addison’s journey as one of the UK’s most promising new songwriters. His debut album ‘Porcelain’ offers a raw, poetic collection of songs on love, identity, and the fragile work of rebuilding. At its core, ‘Porcelain’ is an album about breaking and rebuilding, about the cracks we carry and the light that filters through them. Danny Addison presents a collection of songs that delve into personal transformation, relationships, and the struggles of modern identity. From the soaring introspection of the title track to the haunting vulnerability of ‘Beck and Call’, the album is a poetic reflection on life’s imperfections.

Each track tells its own compelling story: ‘Sense of Touch’ mourns emotional numbness, ‘Lady’ finds peace in love’s guidance, while ‘And If’ contemplates mortality and legacy. Songs like ‘Stains’ and ‘The Dune’ explore nostalgia and renewal, reminding us that even in brokenness, there is beauty. Danny Addison’s ‘Porcelain’ is a stunning debut from an artist who masterfully blends folk storytelling with contemporary depth. With its richly layered instrumentation and unflinching emotional honesty, Porcelain is poised to leave a lasting imprint on listeners.

Raised in a musically rich household in Hitchin, Danny Addison’s love for storytelling and melody took root early. In 2014, he moved to Manchester, where he quickly became a fixture in the city’s thriving music scene, turning heads with his spellbinding live performances and signature blend of folk intimacy, classical precision, and indie edge. A gifted multi-instrumentalist, Danny’s skill with guitar, bass, and violin, honed through years of classical training, gives his music a rich, layered depth. His voice, both delicate and powerful, carries each song with an emotional weight that’s impossible to ignore.

Addison’s intimate performance at the Gibson Garage during a showcase for Zenith Cafe, playing alongside Gareth Dunlop and Nathan O’Regan, was a quiet triumph. With just a borrowed Epiphone and his voice, in the atmospheric basement of the iconic London guitar shop, Addison delivered a spellbinding set that left the room hushed. It was a moment of rare emotional clarity, confirming what ‘Porcelain’ now makes undeniable: Danny Addison carves truth and tenderness into every note.

His talent hasn’t gone unnoticed. Danny caught the attention of Bob Harris and shone at the AMAUK Music Week in 2023. His track ‘Tribe’ has seen success on Spotify, highlighting his rising profile. Danny Addison is on a trajectory to not just share his music but to become a significant voice in the folk genre.
