Expect bold brass takes on everything from “Moon River” and “Diamonds Are Forever” to “Let’s Face the Music and Dance”, “The Pink Panther” and that unmistakable 20th Century Fox fanfare, all delivered with big band precision and a stylish nod to Basie, Sinatra and Bobby Darin. This is a finely tuned jazz production that lets the music do the storytelling.
At the helm is the Denmark Street Big Band - a crack team of London’s finest session players, known for their sell-out shows across the capital and praised for reviving the great American songbook with cinematic flair. They’ve backed artists at the Royal Albert Hall, Ronnie Scott’s and even graced the BBC Proms, bringing heavyweight credentials to every performance.
Joining them for this Boisdale edition is the velvet-voiced Viviana Zarbo - a rising name on the UK jazz scene whose voice shimmers with elegance and vintage charm. A graduate of London’s American Musical Theatre Academy, Viviana’s performances blend Broadway polish with jazz club soul. Expect sultry storytelling, effortless phrasing, and that rare ability to transport an audience from Harlem’s Cotton Club to a Hollywood backlot in the space of a single verse.
