Don Letts - British filmmaker, musician, and cultural icon who played a pivotal role in fusing punk rock with reggae in the 1970s. Born in London in 1956 to Jamaican parents, he was a key figure at the legendary Roxy Club, where his reggae DJ sets introduced punk bands to dub and roots music. Letts directed iconic music videos for The Clash, Public Image Ltd, and Bob Marley. His documentary The Punk Rock Movie captured the punk scene's raw energy. A founding member of Big Audio Dynamite, Letts also directed the Grammy-winning documentary The Clash: Westway to the World and remains influential in music and filmmaking.
