Each event features a double bill of two fantastic comedians.

FRANKIE MONROE:
WINNER: Best Newcomer, Edinburgh Comedy Awards 2024.

Joe Kent-Walters is a multi-award winning comedian and actor from Huddersfield. He has been delighting audiences up and down the country with his idiosyncratic style of outrageous character comedy, most notably with his comic creation, Frankie Monroe.

His “mesmerising and unpredictable presence” (Chortle) performing as Frankie saw him win the 2023 BBC New Comedy Award after a “barnstorming” (Ibid) set at Glasgow’s Kings Theatre. Joe is now in development with the BBC and Hat Trick Productions.

His debut solo show Frankie Monroe: LIVE!!! has already played to sell out crowds across some of the country’s best comedy festivals including Machynlleth, Hastings, Glasgow and Leicester where it picked up the main award for ‘Best Show’.

SUSAN RIDELL:
Glaswegian comedian, actor and writer Susan Riddell has fast become one of the UK’s most exciting names. Nominated for the Billy Connolly Spirit of Glasgow award 2024 and named in The List’s Hot 100 2024 she appeared as a judge BBC New Comedy Awards and was runner up in Funny Women Stage Awards.

Her ability to spin gold from everyday mundane subjects along with her natural, relaxed delivery has earned her sold out shows at the Glasgow international Comedy festival in 2023 & 2024.

Susan is a regular panelist on the BBC’s Breaking the News, The Good, the Bad and the Unexpected and recently presented BBC Edinburgh Unlocked. Susan has written and starred in her own BBC mini Sitcom pilot Dregs and co-hosts the Material Girl podcast as well as it’s monthly live show at the renowned Glasgow Stand Comedy Club.

She regularly provides tour support for Fern Brady & Larry Dean as well as Lucy Beaumont, Adam Kay and Ardal O’Hanlon.
