Peckham Levels, London.
More information about Emmeline presents: ESS SESSIONS tickets
A community showcase of up-and-coming talent from women and non-binary people in music for Independent Venue Week 2025. Spoken word artist and alternative hip-hop performer Emmeline set up ESS Sessions in 2024, as a community night for female and non-binary musicians to showcase their skills, and discuss their experience of the industry. Emerging out of those conversations was the overwhelming need for a space in London where people could come together to create and perform, whilst being adequately supported. ESS Sessions at Peckham Levels is the group’s first live foray, and will feature performances from 8 up-and-coming musicians and DJs, with a strong interactive and community-driven focus. Join us for some amazing music going late into the night, and to support a great cause. Emmeline: Emmeline is a singer/songwriter originally from West Yorkshire now living in London, making spoken word and alternative hip-hop. She initially caught the attention of super producer Fraser T Smith (Stormzy, Adele, Dave), and had since gone on to release 3 projects, most recently her mixtape 'Shapes, Shadows, DVDs' with Lewis Recordings. In the past two years she has opened for The Streets, as well as playing Brighton's The Great Escape, and will in 2025 be heading to Austin for SXSW. Her blend of lyrical mastery with sharp delivery, and unique genre focus has gained her over 200 plays on UK Radio, including a live session with BBC Introducing's Emily Pilbeam, and interviews with other champions such Lauren Laverne and Cerys Matthews. Moli: Artist and songwriter Moli is an exciting emerging pop artist on the global scene. Her shiny, soulful pop moves between styles with remarkable fluidity, drawing inspiration from a broad spectrum of influences, from Gen-Z favourites like Wet Leg and Phoebe Bridgers to classics like ABBA and The Police. Her releases include her nostalgic single ‘It’s Not My Fault’ produced by Jungle’s Tom McFarland, and her striking PMS anthem ‘Bring On The Rain’. These releases have garnered praise from The Line of Best Fit, Noctis, Enfnts Terribles, PopJustice, Luna Collective, and more. Niki Colet has been writing songs since she was ten, originally in the Philippines and now in East London where she is based. Her enchanting new EP 'We Only Ever Meet in Strange Dreams', produced by Alex Haines, was released recently across streaming platforms, and gained fantastic traction online with publications such as Dazed, The Luna Collective, and Saint Audio. Her sound is dream-like alternative pop, showcasing her silky vocals and deep lyrical capacity. Valeria Miró is a producer, singer and songwriter from Mexico City. Her music is deeply introspective, infused with the nostalgia and homesickness that can only come from moving far away from home to find a new one, only to realise you've left a bit of yourself behind. Valeria's lyrics show her folk influences, and her music show glimpses of latin traditional genres and neo-soul. + DJ sets from: Karishma Chez Lu Edie Y Sleepy Jean Join us for a night of incredible independent music. Moli also has over 100 writing credits for songs with streams soaring into hundreds of millions on Spotify, including 'Breaking Me' by Topic and A7S, for which she received a BMI Pop Award in 2021, and ‘Weekends’ with Jonas Blue and Felix Jaehn. With two EPs already released and drawing acclaim from Wonderland, CLASH, The Line of Best Fit, Pop Justice, NOTION, and more, Moli is truly on the rise.
