ERDLING (German for "Earthling") is a German Neue Deutsche Härte band formed in 2014 by Neill Freiwald and Niklas Kahl.
Since their formation in 2014, Erdling have become a driving force in the German-speaking dark metal scene. Their sound defies categories – at times crushingly heavy, at times anthemic and full of emotion – always carried by a unique aura that sets them apart. With steady growth, impressive streaming numbers and a loyal fanbase, the band has secured its place among the scene’s most exciting names. In 2026, Erdling will bring their new album Mana to the big festival stages. Refined at the renowned Fascination Street Studio, it merges raw energy with mystical storytelling and epic melodies, opening the next chapter in the band’s journey.
