A multi-instrumentalist, Rakei brings a fresh live show, while revisiting highlights from his past projects. Winners of the 2023 Mercury Music Prize, Ezra Collective has become a favorite in the UK music scene. They also received 4 nominations at the 2025 BRIT Awards: Mastercard Album of the Year, Group of the Year, Best New Artist, and Alternative/Rock Act.
His music flows between soul, jazz, and hip-hop, and he has collaborated with artists like Tom Misch, Loyle Carner, and Barney Artist. His main influences include The Roots, D’Angelo, and Stevie Wonder.
Blending “Jazz Fusion” with “Dance Music”, he promises a vibrant and emotional performance. Joining him on stage is a band of talented musicians:
José Amoreira (bass), Diogo Tristão (guitar), Pedro Lopes (keys), and Martim Correia (drums).
He’s also a music editor at Antena 3. His versatility and curatorship make him a standout presence on-air and at Ageas Cooljazz.
With doors opening at 7:00 PM, the Cascais Jazz Sessions by Smooth FM begin at 8:00 PM in the Amphitheatre of Marechal Carmona Park, followed by the First Concert and then the Main Concert on the Ageas Stage. After the main concert ends, the Late Nights kick off at the Amphitheatre in Marechal Carmona Park.
