Family: Build A Bug Habitat

Family: Build A Bug Habitat

Chelsea Physic Garden, London.

Join us for a family-friendly workshop exploring the wonderful world of bees, bugs and other pollinators, and discover why these small creatures are so important to life in a garden and green spaces.

Children will learn how bees, beetles, butterflies and other insects help plants grow, support wildlife and keep gardens healthy. We will look at some of the pollinator-friendly plants growing at Chelsea Physic Garden and think about the different places bugs need to feed, rest and shelter.

Children will then create their own bug habitat using environmentally friendly materials, making a welcoming shelter for insects to take home. By building a habitat, they will discover simple ways we can all help bugs and support nature in our own gardens, balconies or window boxes.

This workshop is suitable for children aged 5 and above.
