To celebrate the release of her second album, gwreiddiau ("roots"), Welsh composer and pianist Gwenno Morgan presents a specially expanded live performance featuring piano, synthesizers, strings and immersive visuals. Inspired by the experience of leaving North Wales and the enduring pull of Welsh culture, language and landscape, gwreiddiau is a meditation on memory, belonging and hiraeth.

Drawing on traditional Welsh melodies alongside original compositions, the performance traces a journey from intimate solo piano works into rich orchestral and electronic sound worlds. Accompanied by visuals that reflect the album's themes of landscape, memory and connection, the concert invites audiences into a deeply atmospheric and cinematic exploration of what it means to remain rooted to a place, even from afar.

Gwenno will be joined by Phoebe Niamh, a Welsh experimental harpist based in Sheffield. Surrounded by land and sea during her childhood by the North Wales coastline, Phoebe's sonic palette draws on the influence of nature. Phoebe's debut solo EP Serendipity is a collection of harp improvisations with electronics. Creating dreamy, pattern-based soundscapes shaped by ambient music, shoegaze and minimalism, Phoebe fuses her harp, kalimba and FX pedals to enchant live audiences and listeners. Her music has been broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and The Lot Radio. Phoebe's collaborative projects include harp and cello duo meraki, inter-arts project TYWYN and improvisatory ensemble Emergence Collective.
