Filipa Carneiro Workshop Description: Add some fun to your knitting! Knit colorful, double-sided pieces with the double knitting technique. In this workshop I'll show you how to knit this technique in a simple and hassle-free way. We'll be knitting colorful swatches and I'll tell you all my tricks for working without tangled yarn. I'll tell you all my secrets to get perfect selvedges. With double knitting you can also work circular garments on straight needles. Use it to knit double-sided designs or to knit small circular circumferences without the hassle of the magic loop or double pointed needles. As usual in my workshops, I'll explain all the techniques in Portuguese, Continental and English knitting styles. PROGRAMME: WS level: Intermediate Materials to bring: wool in 2 colors, knitting needles in the appropriate size for the workshop wool (DK or Worsted thickness wool recommended). Homework: No Language: English, spanish and portuguese.

- introduction to double knitting, understanding the double side of the fabric;
- two-color Italian cast-on;
- double knitting;
- tips and tricks for holding the yarn;
- how to achieve perfect selvedges;
- tubular bind-off.
