The Fisherman's Friends sail into Glasgow for one night only at the iconic Kelvingrove Bandstand on Saturday 13 June 2026. For more than thirty years, The Fisherman's Friends have been singing the traditional songs of the sea in their home village of Port Isaac in Cornwall. What began as friends singing for fun on the harbour has grown into a remarkable journey that has taken their voices from pub doorways to Glastonbury, the Royal Albert Hall, two hit feature films, a stage musical and international tours. Tonight, they perform with their musician friends on guitars, mandolin, banjo and more, bringing over 200 years of seafaring song tradition to the stage. Expect powerful harmonies, tall tales, a few laughs and a celebration of music made to be sung together.
They sing work songs, shanties and maritime ballads - songs once used to keep rhythm aboard great sailing ships - delivered with humour, heart and a deep sense of community. Despite their success, the band still live and work in Cornwall, holding down jobs as fishermen, tradesmen, shopkeepers and engineers.
Haul away and join in - that's the Fisherman's Friends way.
