Moulded in the fertile rock crescent of Columbus, Ohio, three-piece family band GOLOMB (rhymes with column) channel Midwest friction into their own brand of physical, guitar-centric experimental rock with plenty of fuzzed-out guitar frequencies. Their live shows are jaw-droppingly good, and their music - as evidenced by recent second album 'The Beat Goes On' - veers from confident bluster to warm intimacy. Their songs brim with the swagger of the Stones and the drone of the Velvet Underground, amongst other touchstones that include Pixies and Yo La Tengo.
