Grainne Duffy is an Irish guitarist, singer and songwriter hailing from county Monaghan, Ireland. Her specific genres include Blues, Soul and Americana enriched with some delicate country and pop elements.
Her professional career started in 2007. The same year she released her remarkable debut album Out Of The Dark, proof talent that was raising at an impressive rate.
Described by The Sunday Times as ‘a blues singer of real integrity’, Grainne Duffy is a pioneer of her own style while also paying sincere homage to her roots, soul, blues and rock traditions.

Gráinne Duffy’s fifth solo album Dirt Woman Blues (2023) to take listeners on an ever-expanding journey that expertly uses elements of Celtic storytelling, Delta Blues, and 70’s California Rock to create a highly-listenable hybrid style.
This album on Blue Heart Records, finds Duffy teaming up with guitarist Marc Ford (Black Crowes) and Gary Clark Jr.’s Austin rhythm section of drummer/percussionist JJ Johnson and bass/keyboard player Elijah Ford (Marc’s son). Grammy-winning producer Chris Goldsmith and Marc Ford guided Duffy’s sessions, and heavy hitters Jimmy Hoyson, Sam Goldsmith, John Ginty, and Peter Levin also stepped up and joined in.
