Ophelia’s Beard is a genre-fluid four piece that combines the Folk roots of its UK spanning members with an injection of modern angst and passion. By grounding her songs with the stereotypes of the genre she experienced growing up in the countryside, and sparking a modern twist within, Ophelia creates familiarity in songs you’ve never heard before. Described as ‘a complete redefinition of the meaning of powerhouse vocals’ she fronts the band with a captivating ease taking the band from small local open mics, to performing at Wales’ biggest folk festival - Between the Trees. This is female fronted folk with a bite.
Slinky Malinky are a four-piece new-wave outfit, based in Cardiff, Wales. Inspired by the simplicity of poets like Brian Patten, the band recently released their debut single ‘Goon Boy’, which featured on Bethan Elfyn’s BBC Radio Cymru ‘Wales Mix’.
Poppy Serenity is a young musician and songwriter from Carmarthenshire. Self-taught on guitar, she's been playing for over 10 years and now shares her skills by teaching guitar to younger students. Her debut EP, 'Blue Lotus,' released last year, gained her an online following with its blend of genres inspired by artists like Noah Kahan and Lizzy McAlpine. Her music explores emotions, relationships, travel, and life, drawing connections to nature and personal experiences. Inspired by artists like Noah Kahan, John Mayer, and AFBOB, Poppy incorporates intricate guitar work and heartfelt lyrics into her songs.
