How do you tell classic works of literature and drama to children? Teatro Praga answers with Hamlet Sou Eu (Hamlet Is Me), a game-performance with a simple rule: now I summarize, now you summarize, now you tell. Two actors perform their versions of Shakespeare's play, telling the story of the Prince of Denmark in different ways. In one of them, on a table, there is a desk from which objects jump out, transforming into the characters: Hamlet is an apple, Gertrude is dental floss, Claudius is a moisturizing cream, and Ophelia is an effervescent tablet. With the plot internalized, the children are invited to step onto the stage and recreate their own version. In a collective improvisation, complete with inflatable castles, balloons, streamers, props, confetti, wigs, and toy swords, each small group, each day, reveals itself as the creator of its own spectacle, its own Hamlet: to dance or not to dance... is not the question...
