More information about Happy Mondays tickets

Happy Mondays have just announced a unique concert in Portugal, on 28 September at Sagres Campo Pequeno. The iconic Manchester band will bring their classic hits to the Portuguese capital, with The Gulps performing the first half.
Tickets become available on 14 March at 10am at the usual venues and at everythingisnew.pt.
Formed in 1980 in Salford, Greater Manchester, the Happy Mondays made their first official release with Forty Five, in 1985, on Factory Records, after being discovered by Tony Wilson. This was followed by the albums Squirrel and G-Man Twenty Four Hour Party People Plastic Face Carnt Smile (1987) and Bummed (1988), which consolidated their status on the Manchester music scene.
The album Pills ‘n’ Thrills and Bellyaches (1990), produced by Paul Oakenfold and Steve Osborne, became a milestone for the band, reaching platinum status in the UK and selling over 350,000 copies. The singles ‘Step On’ and ‘Kinky Afro’ both reached the top 5 of the British charts. In 1992, they released ‘Yes Please!’, recorded at Eddy Grant's studios in Barbados. During the 1990s, the Happy Mondays gained international notoriety and toured the world several times. The original line-up remained until 1994, when the band split up.
They reformed in 1999 with some line-up changes, releasing a new single and accompanying Oasis on tour. After another break in 2001, they returned in 2004 and released the album Uncle Dysfunktional (2007).
The band continued to perform in the following years, taking part in festivals and various international tours. In 2012, they reunited most of the original line-up and released the compilation Double Double Good. In 2015, they took part in the ‘Singing in the Rainforest’ programme, in which they recorded the song ‘Oo La La to Panama’ with an indigenous tribe. In the following years, they continued on the road with several successful tours.
In 2025, they return to the road with a show at Sagres Campo Pequeno in Lisbon on 28 September.
