Hayden Thorpe

Hayden Thorpe, founder member, singer and main songwriter for acclaimed band Wild Beasts, will perform solo his new, haunting and beguiling album 'Ness', along with a selection of other favourites, at Barton Books.

Made in collaboration with nature writer Robert Macfarlane, 'Ness' evokes the mysteries and peculiarities of the other-worldly landscape on the east coast of England that is Suffolk's Orford Ness - an area once used for military testing but now a safe haven for fragile wildlife, and an internationally vital site for nature conservation.

This unique place, along with Macfarlane's book Ness, has provided inspiration for Hayden Thorpe's beautiful, singular compositions, songs and sounds.
