Janet Kay & Carroll Thompson, 'The Queens of Lover's Rock', announce a rare Birmingham date this autumn with their full band

Janet Kay is best known for the Dennis Bovell-produced single 'Silly Games' which went to No. 1 in the UK charts at the start of 1979. She's had many other underground hits including 'Loving You', 'That's What Friends Are For', 'I Do Love You' and more. Janet Kay has worked with Fatboy Slim, Jackie Mittoo, Aswad, Sly & Robbie, and more during her extensive career. 

Carroll Thompson first found fame with the reggae smash 'I'm So Sorry' and followed this up with more classics such as 'Hopelessly In Love', 'Make It With You', 'Love Won't Let Us Wait', 'I'm Still Waiting' and more. Carroll Thompson was the lead vocalist and founding member of 1980's Jazz-Funk group Floy Joy. She has worked with Sugar Minott, Trevor Walters, Courtney Pine, Chaka Khan, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Natalie Cole, Maxi Priest, Billy Ocean, Aswad, and Mad Professor.
