American singer-songwriter & guitarist Jesca Hoop has released nine albums since 2007 including three which are stripped back re-recordings of previous releases.

In October Jesca releases Selective Memory, an acoustic reworking of the 2017 album Memories Are Now.

Born in California and singing throughout her childhood, she writing and recording her own material seriously after encouragement from Tom Waits whom she worked for as a nanny! Her debut album Kismet was released in 2007, and a year later relocated to Manchester.

Jesca has toured supporting Mark Knopfler, Elbow, Placebo, EELS, Shuggie Otis, Iron & Wine, Andrew Bird and Punch Brothers, she released an album of duets with Iron & Wine’s Sam Beam.

California-born but now based in Manchester, Jesca Hoop is what you'd call a musician's musician. Discovered by Tom Waits, and brought on tour by Peter Gabriel to sing in his band, it was a phone call from Elbow's Guy Garvey that saw her move to the UK. Her most recent album "Stonechild" - produced by John Parish (PJ Harvey, Aldous Harding, This is the Kit) - received huge acclaim from fans and critics alike, and it's easy to see why: her beautiful songs, rooted in the folk tradition are intricately detailed, acoustic-led pieces that teem with ideas.
