One of modern hard rock's most exciting breakouts in recent year, Kris Barras Band brought all-new arena-sized grit with their latest album 'Halo Effect'. The album reached UK top 5 spot alongside Beyonce and Linkin Park whilst topping the official UK Rock/Metal, Independent AND Download charts! Amplifying the heavier sound from their previous album 'Death Valley Paradise' (which alone had ALL 4 singles A-listed at Planet Rock radio), 'Halo Effect' delivers hard-hitting riffs, captivating choruses that soar and fuse-lighting technical solos.
Signed to legendary independent label Earache Records, Kris Barras Band harness the twilight-lit melodies and stampeding force beloved by fans of Architects, Shinedown and Alter Bridge. Barras is joined in Kris Barras Band by fellow native sons of Devon; Manning on guitar, Billy Hammett on drums and latest member Frazer Kerslake on bass. In early 2026, Kris and co embark on a lengthy tour of Europe supporting Adrian Smith (Iron Maiden) and Richie Kotzen (Poison/Mr Big/Winery Dogs) with their incredible new hard rock-duo Smith/Kotzen.
After an almost-unbelievable career change from pro-MMA fighter of ten years to professional musician, Barras cut his teeth in the international blues rock scene culminating in a frontman spot with supergroup Supersonic Blues Machine (featuring ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons). In the meantime, Kris Barras Band gravitated to a heavier – yet melodic - sound that has sold-out tours with Black Stone Cherry, The Darkness and Thunder at the likes of the Royal Albert Hall and Wembley Arena.
With a newer, harder edge befitting the Kerrang! bands that Kris grew up jamming to, Kris brings together many generations of rock fans that have helped him reach new heights from Download Festival, to headlining his own outdoor show in the epic setting of Chepstow Castle to countless sold-out UK tours.
