Ro James

Grittier in songwriting approach and richer in voice than most of his contemporaries, R&B artist Ro James gained a foothold independently before he made his commercial breakthrough with "Permission" (2015). The slow jam welded classic early-'70s soul and modern trap-styled production, earned a Grammy nomination and a platinum certification, and highlighted Eldorado(2016), his debut album.
