Make your own hardback notebook
The Leeds Library, Leeds.
A note about accessibility – Unfortunately, our Grade II* listed building is not currently fully accessible. We have a stair lift from the ground floor foyer to the first floor but are unable to install a through-floor lift due to the building’s historic status. Please email us on enquiries@theleedslibrary.org.uk if you have any questions around access, and we will do everything that we can to accommodate you.
The Leeds Library is committed to making its building and collections accessible to everyone in our current capital building works project The Next Chapter Project. https://www.theleedslibrary.org.uk/expansion/

Join Linette from Anachronalia in the beautiful surroundings of The Leeds Library and learn how to create your own A6 hardback notebook from scratch. In this day-long workshop, you’ll look at sewing pages together, attaching endpapers, rounding and lining the spine, making up the covers, and finally, casing-in your book. You’ll be using book cloth and decorative papers to create a unique notebook, personalised to your tastes. This is a small-group session, with places limited to ten. There will be a break for lunch; the perfect opportunity to chat to fellow participants about the session. Hot drinks and biscuits will be provided. Your workshop ticket includes all the materials and equipment you need, as well as guidance from Linette from Anachronalia. You’ll leave with your own A6 hardback notebook—and the skills to go on making after the session. This workshop is suitable for beginners, but some craft experience is helpful.
The session runs until 4:30pm.
