We are delighted to welcome Marketplace back to the Studio this December. 

The town's Marketplace have quickly become ones to watch, turning heads with their infectious indie pop earworms and magnetic personalities. Known for their engaging live shows and playful DIY videos, they’ve built a loyal fanbase from the ground up.

Their latest EP, Marketplace Mean Business (released 6th June 2025), cements their status as one of the UK’s most exciting emerging acts.

Previous releases have seen the band soar to new heights, achieving radio plays on BBC Radio 1 and Radio X, as well as being named “Ones to Watch” by BBC Introducing. The band have also received editorial playlisting support from Apple Music and Tidal. This has also led to a busy festival season, including appearances at Supersonic in Paris, The Great Escape, Kendal Calling and Y Not Festival.

Drawing influences from a wide range of artists including Alvvays, The Beths, Pulp and Talking Heads, the band made up of Evie Rhodes (vocals/guitar), Joel O’Beirne (vocals/bass), Jack Purcell (guitar), Matthew Short (synth/vocals) and Ross Dixon (drums) bring their own individual tastes to create the signature Marketplace sound.

With widespread backing already from tastemakers, support slots with Alfie Templeman, Swim Deep, The Lottery Winners and Abbie Ozard as well as sold out gigs in Manchester, London, Leeds and their hometown of Hartlepool, Marketplace are certainly ready to make their mark.
