Martha
Gosforth Civic Theatre, Newcastle Upon Tyne.
Accessibility at Gosforth Civic Theatre
Our Theatre is an adaptive space where the layout can change from event to event. Tickets are sold as unreserved seating or standing in the vast majority of cases, so ticket buyers can then choose where they sit, or stand, when they arrive for a show.
Carer/PA/Essential companion tickets:
These are available for all events. They are limited to one per ticket order and can be booked by emailing info@gosforthcivictheatre.co.uk and quoting the event name, booking reference on your ticket order and information you're comfortable sharing on why a companion ticket is required.
Standing shows
Our standing capacity is up to 300. Our seating rake folds away on the rear wall of the Theatre, opening up the floor for the audience to stand in and take in the performance on stage. At the front of the room, in front of the stage, is a cordoned-off area for wheelchair spaces and ambulant seating for those who need it.
There are a maximum of four ambulant seats and three wheelchair spaces in this area at a standing event. Tickets for these spaces will be a separate ticket type from general admission and should be visible when buying tickets through gosforthcivictheatre.co.uk. Each of these seats or spaces will come with one extra chair for another valid ticket holder (general admission or companion/PA) who may be accompanying the wheelchair space/ambulant ticket buyer to the event.
(this information is provided by the venue, not the promoter)
Also, An allocation of tickets are available at a reduced price of £5, for purchase by unemployed/low income fans. If you are unable to attend a concert without the discount, these tickets are intended for you. These tickets can be purchased in the same way as a regularly priced ticket, no questions asked.
14s - 18s must be accompanied by an adult. No refunds will be given for incorrectly booked tickets.

More information about Martha tickets
This September we (the band called Martha) will be doing a handful of shows to mark ten years since 'Blisters in the Pit of my Heart' came out. We'll be performing the album in full each night, plus a load of other songs too. The tour will take us to a couple of places we've never played before (Birkenhead and Hebden Bridge), a couple of places we haven't played in ages (Edinburgh and Cardiff), and we'll also be playing at the Scala in London for the first time in nearly a decade. If you can make it out to one of these gigs please do. Please also tell your friends about it. Especially the ones who used to be cool but don't come to gigs anymore. We've got some really great bands opening for us too! The beautiful poster was designed by Soph McKenzie.
