THE SHOW

Acclaimed climate scientist, Dr Matt Winning (LLB, MSc, PhD), has been given an ultimatum: save the world by lunchtime tomorrow or sell his soul for a slice of Rockefeller's fortune. But right now, he's busy: his son is being born and he's desperate for a piss.

From karaoke with a bunch of bankers to petrol station bathrooms and the United Nations, Solastalgia, is an epic story about fatherhood, finance and facing the future, together.

Host of Net Zero: A Very British Problem (BBC Radio 4) and author of the Best Seller Hot Mess (what on earth can we do about climate change).

Directed by double Fringe First Award winner, Ben Target (not a climate scientist).

MONKEY BARREL COMEDY

Monkey Barrel Comedy has been 'Scotland's Best Comedy Venue' since 2020 (Chortle Awards) and was described by The List as "a year-round Edinburgh institution". It has over 500 5-star reviews on TripAdvisor, making it one of the city's top-rated year-round attractions.

Our adjoining bar, Barrel Bar, is open from 3pm on Fridays and Saturdays and at least 1 hour before every show every other day. It serves a wide selection of drinks, including locally-sourced beers, cocktails, and spirits.
