Ben Norris stand up comedian near me at The Attic in Southampton

Ben is a highly experienced and hugely well-respected stand-up. He’s been performing comedy since 1993 and is renowned for his incredibly relaxed stage persona and his innate ability to improvise as well as deliver sharply crafted material.

Other interesting facts about Ben: he’s the cousin of actor Martin Freeman and also the father of triplets (2 girls and a boy)

Ben’s TV credits include: “Mock the week” (BBC 1), “The Comedy Store” (Paramount and Comedy Central), “Never mind the Buzzcocks” (BBC 2), “They think it’s all over” (BBC 2)

Ben has written and performed three solo shows at The Edinburgh Festival: ‘Sitting room only’ (1997), ’Mr Ambiguousness’ (2013), and ‘Benny on the loose’ (2014)

Ben was Ed Byrne’s tour support for his 2013 UK tour and appeared at the Apollo, Hammersmith.

Ben acted in a play developed with the ‘Comedians Theatre Company’ called ‘The last minutes’ which was broadcast on BBC Radio 4 in February 2014.

Don Biswas

One of the gems of the circuit, Don Biswas is a politically charged gag merchant who covers a wide range of subjects. This includes his Asian upbringing, his neurodiversity as someone with dyspraxia, ADHD, and ASD, and even delving into the most important of topics—conspiracy theories. Don has garnered huge admiration from all corners of the comedy circuit.

Now a regular face in comedy clubs across the UK, Don has solidified his presence in the industry. Additionally, he recently recorded a comedy special for BBC Radio 4 titled 'Neurotopical.' His contributions extend to appearances on Radio 4's '13 Million Club,' Rosie Jones's 'Boxticker,' UKTV Digital's 'Rosie Jones's Disabled Comedy Extravaganza,' and BBC Online's 'Future Food Stars.' Don Biswas continues to make his mark with his unique and diverse comedic perspectives.

Travis Booth-Millard

Once a budding (some might say failing) actor, Travis has now taken to the Comedy stand-up circuit to quip about his long locks, love for food and unique background.

Travis has been a finalist in multiple competitions and has thus far beaten 2 gong shows himself!

He’s gigged with the likes of Terry Alderton, Sean Collins and Adam Bloom is definitely one to watch on the south coast comedy scene.

Last year Travis was a finalist in both the New Forest New and Southampton Comedian of the Year Competition placing third in the latter.

Plus Southampton female comedian of the year 2023 Shazza B

Shazza’s savage outlook on life, her ageing body and farcical fantasies make for both a hilarious and enlightening comedy experience. Crowned Southampton female comedian of the year 2023 Shazza B.

Zak Lacey

Extraordinarily handsome, the body of an Adonis, drives a Ferrari.

These are phrases never used in relation to Zak Lacey. Instead, Zak relies on his sharp observational humour and dry wit to charm audiences. From the quirks of modern life to his own misadventures, Zak’s comedy turns the mundane into the memorable.

New to the circuit but hungry for more, Zak is focused on honing his craft and making his mark on the UK comedy scene.

Emily Whittingham

Emily is an emerging comedian based near Southampton. Coming from a visual arts background, Emily took to stand-up comedy and script-writing to express her anxieties, confusions and misunderstandings about the world from the perspective of a recently-diagnosed AuDHD asexual.

In her short time on the circuit so far, Emily has won three semi-finalist spots, her latest being the West End New Act Semi-Finalist 2025.
