Mildred

Mildred is a band from Oakland, California made up of four equal parts: no lead singer, no one person who writes the songs. 

Their debut album Fenceline has been called one of the year's most endearing sleepers - melodic folk-rock with sharp, literary lyrics, gorgeous vocal harmonies, and a warmth that feels lived-in rather than constructed. Summed up neatly by Clash Magazine: "imagine if Pavement went Americana and you'd be close", Mildred make music that is pure and poetic, gently addictive and never overwrought.

Mildred are proof that the best bands don't always arrive with a bang. Sometimes they just appear, fully formed, from someone's living room.
