MILKY WIMPSHAKE formed in 1993 and have gigged every year since then. They quite like the Buzzcocks. For this gig, Sophie Evans makes a very rare appearance as guest vocalist: Sophie sang on one song ('Without You') on the 2012 Heart and Soul in the Milky Way album and then returned to guest on numerous songs within the 2015 Encore, Un Effort LP. The Wimpshake set will feature numerous songs with Sophie as well as some of the usual standbys.

The remainder of the bill is made up of other bands in which members of the current line-up of Milky Wimpshake perform.

MORON-O-PHONICS from 'Groovie Gateshead England' features Forbidden Dick on guitar, Bo Criddley (AKA Christine Rowe of Milky Wimpshake) on bass and Flyin' Brian on drums. They all sing. Moron-o-phonics are 'outta tune, outta time 'n' outta sight!' and they will rock your socks off.

KNITTING CIRCLE are from York and feature Jo Dale (ex-No Fit State) on bass and vocals, Pete Dale (Milky Wimpshake) on guitar and some vocals and Marc Walker (The Bricks, ex-Red Monkey/Kodiak/Spinach) on drums. They play math pop: melodic songs with proper structures but oblique angles and curve ball rhythms plus semi-askew tonality; also, on-the-sleeve messages about peace and war, feminism, animal rights, trans rights and the desire for autonomy.

O CAPTAIN MY CAPTAIN are from the Newcastle region and feature Hutch on vocals and guitar (ex-Drawn by Lines) plus Chris Lanigan (current Milky Wimpshake drummer, ex-Razorblade Smile/Meredith) on percussion. They have not been gigging much in the last couple of years so this rare appearance will be a real treat!
