The Hospice Open Garden Season runs from May to September and features over 50 local gardens opening their gates to the public to help raise funds for hospice care. In 2024, the Hospice Open Gardens raised an incredible £60,000!

This year, we have village trails in Lindfield, Hurstpierpoint, Scaynes Hill, Ditchling, Ringmer, and Hassocks, with new gardens added to all the trails. Alongside these popular trails, there are several stunning individual gardens, including Ketches, Old Timbers, The Old Mill House, Hams Rough, and Colwood House. Most of these gardens are supporting the hospice for the first time.

There is a wide variety on offer at all the gardens with everything from ancient woodland, and stunning formal gardens to pretty cottage planting.  You'll find many venues offering plant sales as well as the chance to enjoy refreshments in the gardens including tea, coffee and cake.

St Peter & St James Hospice provide end of life care and support for everyone in our community.  All proceeds from ticket sales, refreshments and the plant stalls will go towards providing the best possible care, in the right place, at the right time, to everyone who needs it in the local community.
