Are there any age restrictions?

Saturday 3rd May - Over 16s only

16 - 17 year olds must be accompanied by a responsible adult over the age of 21 (one adult minimum to two 16 - 17 year olds)

Sunday 4th May - All ages permitted

0 - 17 year olds must be accompanied by a responsible adult over the age of 21 (one adult minimum to two 0 - 17 year olds)

Can I leave and re-enter Black Isle Belter?

Ticket holders who leave the Arena will not be permitted to re-enter the Event. You may only leave and then re-enter the Venue during the Event at the discretion of the Organisers. Otherwise there shall be no re-admissions or pass outs of any kind.

Is the Black Isle Belter staged outdoors?

The main arena is outdoors but the main stage is housed in a Big Top.

What are the stage times?

Stage times will be published closer to the event.

Can I bring my dog to Black Isle Belter?

With the exception of special assistance dogs, authorised working dogs and police dogs, no animals are permitted at the Event. Please do not leave any animals unattended in a parked vehicle in the car park, your pets and us would be much happier if you left them at home.

Can I take a bag into the event?

Please only bring a bag into the Arena if it is absolutely essential. Those bringing bags will be separated into bag search lanes and may be delayed as a result of these searches. Bags larger that the size of an A3 sheet of paper (30cm x 42cm) will NOT be permitted in the Arena (exceptions will be made for baby change/medical supply bags). Please note that lockers are NOT available at the Event.

Can I bring my own food and drink to Black Isle Belter?

You are not permitted to bring food or drink of any type into the Arena. Any food or drink found will be confiscated. A wide variety of food and drink will be available for purchase at the Event. Anyone with a medical condition which requires them to bring food and/or drink into the Arena should contact organisers in advance blackislebelter@beyondpresents.co.uk to obtain an authorisation letter or make themselves known to the gate manager/supervisor of the Event who will assist accordingly. Please be aware that no glass is permitted on site. 

Hard plastic, metal, or glass water bottles or backpack hydration packs are not permitted into the Event and will be confiscated and cannot be returned. Please only bring empty soft water bottles or empty collapsible/foldable drinking pouches with you to fill at the drinking water points available in the Arena. 

Is there a bar at Black Isle Belter?

Yes there is, and it will be bigger than the bar at the 2024 event! Challenge 25 will be in operation, so if you are blessed with youthful looks and look younger than 25, please bring your ID with you if you intend to purchase alcohol as you will be asked to provide it by our bar staff. If you are asked to provide your ID, please don’t take offence…take it as a compliment.

Can I bring my perfume/aftershave into the event?

No glass is permitted on site, so if your perfume or aftershave is in a glass bottle please leave it in your vehicle or at home so we don’t have to disappoint you by confiscating it at the point of entry.

Can I bring my camping chair or gazebo?

You are unable to bring camping chairs or gazebos into the event. There is plenty of picnic bench seating provided in the main arena.  The main stage is in a Big Top and no seating can be taken inside for obvious Health & Safety reasons. What are the ground conditions like at Black Isle Belter?

The event is being held on the Black Isle Showground which is a flat grass field with tarmac paths around the site, however, please prepare for all weathers as this is the Highlands in May and the weather can be somewhat unpredictable.

How do I access my ticket(s)?

Tickets Purchased From Skiddle - Your RapidScan tickets will be available via your Skiddle account or confirmation email. Head to www.skiddle.com/orders or the 'my tickets' section within the app, for quick easy access.

Tickets Purchased from Universe - Your tickets will be emailed to you 14 days before the event. These tickets should be retained to be scanned as the point of entry.

Are paper tickets available?

No, tickets are available as etickets only.

What happens if I bought a ticket and can no longer attend?

If you are unable to attend due to a change in your circumstances we suggest passing your ticket(s) on to family or friends as we are unable to issue a refund.

Refunds are only considered on major cancellation i.e. the Event is cancelled in full and not rescheduled.

Can I pass on my tickets privately?

Yes, you can pass them on to family or friends if you are no longer able to attend but please ensure you are passing on the correct ticket type for the person you are transferring to.

Do I need to have a ticket for my child to accompany me to Black Isle Belter on Sunday 4th?

Everyone attending the event must have a valid ticket, regardless of age. Tickets for under 18s must be purchased with an Adult ticket.

How can I apply for a Personal Assistant/Carer Ticket?

Carer/Personal Assistant tickets for those wishing to accompany a paying customer are available for this event, subject to providing one of the following documentation dated within the past 12 months or with valid date covering the event:

  • The front page of DLA letter or PIP letter
  • The front page of Attendance Allowance letter
  • Evidence of being registered as severely sight impaired (blind)
  • Recognised Assistance Dog ID card
  • Valid Access Card showing you require a +1 to accompany you

Is Disabled Parking available?

Parking at the event is free. If you would like to access Disabled Parking please display your badge on the dashboard of your vehicle and stewards will direct you to the designated area. Please note that disabled spaces will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

No, Black Isle Belter is a non camping event.

Travel Information

By Bus

D&E Coaches will be operating Shuttle Buses to and from the Venue on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th May.

Bus From Inverness

Buses will depart from Inverness Bus Station and will drop passengers at the Venue in the designated drop off point only. Buses will return from the same point to Inverness Bus Station in the evening. Tickets are available from Skiddle and Universe.

Returns from the Venue commence at 22.30

Sunday 4th May

Bus From Dingwall

There will be one bus departing from Dingwall High Street each day, arriving on site for the arena opening and returning to Dingwall once the arena closes each night. The ticket price includes travel to and from the venue.

Bus From Beauly

There will be one bus departing from Beauly (opposite the entrance to the Holiday Park), arriving on site for the arena opening and returning to Beauly once the arena closes each night. The ticket price includes travel to and from the venue.

By Car

Traffic travelling North from Inverness should follow the A9 North to Tore Roundabout. Traffic travelling South from Invergordon/Tain areas should also follow the A9 South to the Tore Roundabout. Exit along the A832 to Muir of Ord. Follow this road for approximately 5 miles to the Muir of Ord Industrial Estate turn off. Turn left onto the B9169. The car park is located on the right.

Traffic travelling from Beauly and West of Beauly should follow the A862 to Muir of Ord where you will be directed right into the Muir of Ord Industrial Estate junction and onto the B9169. The car park is located on the left.

Traffic travelling from Ullapool, Dingwall and Conon Bridge should drive into Muir of Ord and at the Tarradale Hotel junction signage will direct you along the A832. Turn right onto the B9169. The car park is located on the right.

By Taxi

Taxis will follow the same routes as cars (above). Taxis will need to be arranged directly. There will be a drop off point signposted.

By Rail

The nearest station is at Muir of Ord, a three-minute drive, or 20 minute walk to the Venue. See National Rail for train times.
