In 2026, Teena Marie would have been turning 70 years of age. In memory of one of the most iconic soul / R&B musicians of all time, AGMP are presenting a special celebration of Mary Christine Brockert with a live performance from Sulene Fleming & The Square Biz Band under the direction of Ciyo 'Guitar' Brown.

Singer/Singwriter/Producer Teena Marie was born in California in 1956. After signing with Motown Records she started working with label-mate Rick James securing her first hit 'I'm A Sucker For Your Love' in 1979 taken from the debut LP 'Wild and Peaceful'. Her follow up LP 'Lady T', was produced by Minnie Ripperton's widower Richard Rudolph and featured the hit single 'Behind The Groove'. Teena Marie continued to have hit singles throughout the 1980's such as 'I Need Your Lovin', 'Fix It', 'It Must Be Magic', 'Portuguese Love', 'Square Biz', 'Here's Looking At You', 'Ooo La La La' (as used by The Fugees for their hit 'Fu-Gee-La') and many more.

Sulene Fleming & The Square Biz Band will be performing live playing the hits and fan favourites in this big celebration of the life and legacy of Soul/R&B legend Teena Marie.
