The wonderful Rianne Downey releases her eagerly anticipated debut album The Consequence of Love which comes out October 17th on Run On. Rianne Downey spent much of last year touring with Paul Heaton while also establishing her own fanbase with a series of solo shows. Both live and on record, her voice is a thing of beauty. And her songs are the perfect vehicle for it. “From busking on the streets of Glasgow to releasing this record, it almost feels like my whole life has led to this moment,” she says. “The title, ‘The Consequence of Love’, came from one of the last songs I wrote but it captures the heart of the whole album. Each song is the product of the consequence of love.” Produced by Grammy winner Ryan Hadlock (Zach Bryan, Brandi Carlisle) and recorded at Seattle’s Bear Creek Studio, The Consequence of Love features ten tracks that effortlessly showcase a serious new country, folk voice. The songs were all written by Rianne Downey, some with her and long-time collaborator Nathaniel Laurence.
