Punk Festival in Darlington from 3pm till 11pm
Punk Festival featuring XSLF as headliners.
Xslf started in 2013 when I met Jim again after years of not seeing him. I had been doing solo shows for a few years prior and Jim put the idea forward to form a band. We only wanted to play music we were actually involved in and that meant the first three albums. Anything else would have made us a very strange tribute act indeed!
Since then we have been writing and recording original music which is being well recieved. Ave Tsarion is our bass player and a big part of the setup including writing music. Some people will never give us a chance because of their own silly bias but so what... We do it because we love it. Thanks to all our fans no matter where you are and we’ll see you out on the road somewhere.
Unfortunately Jim has had to step down for health reasons on the advice of his doctor. His health is more important than gigs and we really wish him back to full fitness soon. On drums we now have Glenn Kingsmore. Glenn is the drummer for legendary Belfast band The Defects.. Anyone who has seen him play knows what a powerhouse he is! Come support us through this and see for yourself!

IN EVIL HOUR are a melodic hardcore punk rock band formed in Darlington in 2011. Since then they have toured the UK and Europe extensively and have featured at a number of festivals in the UK and Europe such as Manchester Punk Fest, Rebellion Fest and Boomtown Fair. Heavily inspired by bands such as AFI, The Nerve Agents and Bad Religion they have supported the likes of Ignite, H20 and The Misfits across the UK. After releasing their debut album on STP Records in 2013 and the followup 'Lights Down' on Snayle Records in 2017, they are now in the process of recording their third full length release.
'Powerful and spellbinding' Vive Le Rock
'Capturing the remarkably elusive sweet spot equidistant between raw, unpolished energy and immaculate composition' - The Norwich Radical
'a genuinely fine example of just how vibrant the UK punk rock scene is right now' - Louder than War
Formed in the UK's Northwest, Dead Objectives have been making their definitive brand of fiercely melodic anarcho-punk since 2013, carrying the flag for a proud tradition of socially responsible musical resistance to a corrupt society. For many, the standout act of 2019's Rebellion festival's Introducing Stage, the band released their acclaimed debut full length album Human Symptom in December 2018 and have been in demand steadily since in the UK and Europe.
Musically adept and complex, lyrically intelligent and politically focused, Dead Objectives are a force of nature. Twin guitars, fluid melodic bass and rock steady but intricate drums underpin a passionate vocal delivery full of precisely targeted venom. Music from the heart you can enjoy with your head or your feet. Vitriol has never sounded so vital.

The Gakk are an original five-piece punk band from Dundalk, Ireland. Taking influences from the classic punk sound of the '70s (The Clash, SFL, Sex Pistols, Subhumans, Dead Kennedys, Crass, Buzzcocks, Conflict and Rancid) this band are the real deal, touring extensively across Ireland, leaving fans breathless wherever they play with their melodic street-punk & highly energetic live performances.
In 2019, having got fed up with censorship and silly social media algorithms, Sheffield’s long standing politico-punks The Fuckwits changed their name to King Effers, perhaps a little easier on the tongue.
Mr Keef and Chris (The Fuckwits) were joined by Tank (Freekspert) on drums, and Muzz (Artery/Faerground Accidents) on bass. With a love of all things punk, reggae and rocksteady it was only a matter of time before the sound turned into a highly-charged punky reggae party.
Having toured the UK and Germany and negotiated the perils and pitfalls of the covid lockdowns, the band finally managed to procure enough studio time and complete the recordings of what would become the first King Effers album entitled ‘Soap Box’, to be released on Holy Dotage Records on Dec 1st 2023
Line up:
Mr Keef – Vocals &
Guitar Chris – Guitar & Vocals
Muzz – Bass & Vocals
Tank – Drums & Percussion
