KAWAIIYASU
UK guitarist Harry Souter, saxophonist Harvey Parkin-Christie, and Hong Kong/Japanese drummer Teruki Chan present: Kawaiiyasu, a trio responding to the jazz and improvised music tradition. The group moves in and out of abstract materials freely, with compositional influences from early European free jazz and Shipxean folk music. The trio is characterised by confrontational improvisation and dynamic composition, pushing the boundaries of intimate ensemble playing.
+ ANDI JACKSON
“Based in Manchester and also half of psychedelic rock duo Thraa, with several other varied DIY bands in his glittering past too, Andi Jackson’s ‘Tangible Lines’ is an album comprised of 10 otherwise untitled ‘movements’ which stylistically vary from post-no wave treated guitar sculpture to digitally-clipped drone to all-out improvised feedback wrangling to a final flourish of what seems to be field-recorded birdsong. A strong and elegant set of wordless expression!” - Noel Gardner
