SHAM 69 - Original 1977 Lineup featuring Jimmy Pursey, Dave Parsons, Treganna (Kermit) and Spike
Sham 69 are one of the original British Punk Rock bands. In July 1977 Jimmy met with Miles Copeland (manager of The Police) who was running Step Forward & Illegal records. Jimmy scored a slot headlining the Acklam Hall on 21st July 1977. The support bands; Chelsea, The Lurkers & The Cortinas were all on Step Forward records, it was inevitable that Sham 69 would put out the first single on Step Forward and released 'I Dont Wanna' in August 1977. Sham 69 were soon packing venues and due to the success of the 'I Dont Wanna' single, Polydor Records signed Sham 69 for a 4 album contract. Albie Slider was replaced by Dave Treganna (Kermit) after a fight broke out in the recording studio when Dave Parsons replaced Albert's bass. January 1978 Polydor released the 'Borstal Breakout' single which didn't chart but a month later the 'Tell Us The Truth' album was released and reached No 25. April 30th 1978 Jimmy joined The Clash on stage at Victoria Park for Rock Against Racism. Later that week Polydor released their 2nd Sham 69 single 'Angels With Dirty Faces' which got the band on Top Of The Pops. In July 1978 the release of the single 'If The Kids Are United' catapulted Sham 69 into the media spot-light. That summer Sham played the Reading Festival along with The Jam. October 1978 saw the release of the 2nd Sham 69 album 'That's Life' and a new single 'Hurry Up Harry' which charted making the top 10. Questions & Answers was released in March 79 which was another hit and in July 79 the 'Hersham Boys' single was released which became Sham 69's biggest hit. Sham 69 are a formidable live act with the quality, energy, 1977 sound and are headlining major festivals such as Rebellion and key festivals worldwide. dont miss them

ANTI-NOWHERE LEAGUE
After their triumphant sold out show at the waterfront venue in 2024 and full support from the fans nationwide, the band returns for another blistering show....
in recent years the band have been welcomed back to play Download Festival and to play Metallica’s 30th Anniversary along with shows at all major uk venues and worldwide and all major punk festivals. Life rolls on and we all change for the better. Punk is of course is about free speech and shock, but we can safely say these guys have matured into great people and a great live act over the years and have certainly brushed off those unwanted cobwebs of the past
The band officially started in 1980 as a four piece band, with original members, Animal, Magoo ,Bones and Baggy. They played a few shows together at local venues and soon got a reputation for being an obnoxious band with a bad attitude. By 1981 the band had written and recorded their first album ‘We are the League’ which was at no 1 for many weeks in the independent charts along with 3 singles ‘Streets of London’, ’I Hate People’ and ‘Woman’, although the album was very successful for the band it did not include the song ‘So What’ because of legal restraints so the band took the album on the road for the now infamous ‘So What Tour’ . It was in 1991 that the band made the decision to get back together thanks to Metallica covering their song ‘So What’ and asking Animal to join them up on stage to sing the song ‘live’ with them at Wembley. The band are firing on all cylinders, have toured with bands such as Motorhead and Rancid and played the big festivals like Download and Rebellion. Also Animal re joined Metallica back up on stage to play their 30th birthday bash in San Francisco which proved with out a doubt that Metal and Punk can stand side by side. In 2016 the band released their definitive album ‘the Cage’ which is an insight of how “we all live in cages we have built for ourselves” and has been hailed as their finest to date. 2017 saw the release of their ‘covers’ album ‘League Style’…. Loosen up volume 1’ a collection of Reggae songs that Animal and Winston grew up with, but giving the songs a ‘guitar feel’ incorporating Tom’s magnificent guitar work. the band are now playing live and recording more material...doing what they do best’…… swimming against the flow of the controlled music business’, again proving Punk is the last music rebellion and is still a major music force to be reckoned with.

PETER AND THE TEST TUBE BABIES
In the year of our lord 1978 the 17 year old punks Peter Bywaters and Del Strangefishfounded PETER AND THE TEST TUBE BABIES in the small town of Peacehaven near Brighton. After a couple of rehearsals they made their first recording ‘Elvis Is Dead’ which appeared on the Vaultage ‘78 compilation of Brighton new wave bands. Radio 1 DJ John Peel loved the song instantly and produced a John Peel session with the TEST TUBE BABIES. The success was breath taking and PETER AND THE TEST TUBE BABIES became one of the hottest unsigned bands in the UK overnight.
The first single ‘Banned From The Pubs’ followed fast, and fans and press freaked out in equal measure. From that moment everything went crazy, sold out concert halls in England and Europe and their big success in the media pushed their debut album Pissed And Proud to #1 in the English independent charts. Directly after that The Mating Sounds Of South American Frogs was released – a must have for every record collection – and sold more than 100.000 copies, resulting in invitations from far and wide. THE TEST TUBES BABIES played shows all over the world and cemented their status as one of the most brilliant and funniest live bands in punk rock culture. They also had the honour to represent the United Kingdom at the historical MTV East/West party to celebrate the fall of the Berlin wall.
A few bass players and drummers have served their time in the band, but the songwriters Peter & Del have always been the foundation of PETER AND THE TEST TUBE BABIES and together wrote records like Soberphobia, and the brilliant Supermodels, which brought them their comeback in 1995. Around this time the DVD Paralitico (Spanish: crazy disturbed perception, elicited by alcoholic and other suggestive excesses) was released , followed triumphantly by the albums A Foot Full Of Bullets and For A Few Bullets More with the guest appearances of Campino ( DIE TOTEN HOSEN ) and Olga from THE TOY DOLLS. All three products sold out worldwide.
In 2017 The band signed with Arising Empire Records and in 2018 & 2020 saw the releases of 'That Shallot' and 'Fuctifano' Two of the bands best albums to date.
The unstoppable force that is PETER AND THE TEST TUBE BABIES goes from strength to strength and remains indestructible.
