About DAN CODREANU:
Dan Codreanu is a Romanian actor, puppeteer, improviser, and improvisation coach with a strong background in visual and nonverbal performance.
He graduated from the National University of Theater and Film “I.L. Caragiale” (UNATC) in Bucharest, specializing in puppetry. For 13 years, he was a core member of the “Tandarica Animation Theatre,” Romania's largest and most prestigious puppet theater, where he performed in a wide variety of productions and developed a deep understanding of object theater, movement, and visual storytelling.
Since 2016, he has been actively involved in the international improvisation scene. He has performed at major improvisation festivals in Europe, including Leuven, Uppsala, Amsterdam, Sofia, and Athens, collaborating with artists from diverse cultural and performative backgrounds.
In addition to his work as an artist, he is an experienced trainer, teaching workshops on nonverbal improvisation and puppetry. He has taught internationally, including in Amsterdam and Leuven, focusing on physical expression, presence, playfulness, and the intersection between puppetry and improvisation.
His artistic work lies at the crossroads between theater, improvisation, and visual performance, with a strong emphasis on embodiment, imagination, and live creation.
