Saturday 7th February 2026 Staithe: Naomi Kelly: "Described by NARC. magazine as a style that "wouldn't go amiss in a playlist with names like Grace Petrie and Lucy Spraggan", Naomi Kelly's style is a unique blend of indie, folk, and pop music- combining to create their distinctly homegrown sound. They're a singer-songwriter from Leeds now also based in the North East, with a solidly DIY attitude to their music. With lyrics that come out of nowhere, and songs on everything from heartbreak to horror movies, Naomi's "classic, clever songwriting" has taken them from open mics and support acts to headline shows in their hometowns of Leeds and Newcastle, and summer festival slots across the country, ranging from a performance at Saltburn Folk Festival to a set on one of Greenbelt Festival's primary music stages (even during a site-wide power cut!) Naomi's recent releases have had great support from local radio and press, with Shakk from BBC Introducing in the North East describing "Understudy" as "bringing the heartbreak with a bit of acoustic warmth...beautifully written", and their Christmas single "Heart and Home" being featured as the Early Riser track on Radio Tyneside. With new music on the way in 2026, Naomi is one to watch..." With acoustic support from acoustic singer songwriter Anna Stevo.

Staithe, Naomi Kelly and Anna Stevo
Staithe produces evocative, minimalist music that interweaves voice, classical guitar, viola, piano, and electronic textures. Bridie is best known as the singer and songwriter of the critically acclaimed folk band Bridie Jackson and The Arbour, while Nick is a classical viola and synth player with a background in both orchestral and contemporary music. Together, they create music that is both delicate and immersive, shaped by a shared love of storytelling through sound. Their live performances are intimate yet powerful, drawing audiences into a world of evocative melodies and atmospheric textures.
Staithe began as an informal collaboration during the 2020 lockdown and officially formed as a duo in 2023. Since then, they have been performing, self-recording, and composing commissioned works for a variety of creative projects. Their work often crosses disciplines, collaborating with film makers, performance artists and theatre and dance companies to create immersive soundscapes and emotive scores.
In May 2025, they released their highly anticipated self-released debut album, 'Flowers' to critical acclaim. A deeply personal and confessional body of work, Flowers showcases Staithe's distinctive fusion of genres, drawing from classical, folk, and minimalist electronica, whilst inviting listeners into their immersive sound world-one of honesty, melancholy, hope and quiet resilience.
Entirely self-produced and recorded at their home in Newcastle-upon-Tyne during the winter of 2024, the album embodies the experimental, DIY nature of this constantly evolving musical project.
