Join us for our first collaboration night between SIDE ROOM promotions and Bread Records - Summer Oak Folk. A cozy and communal gathering, to be held at the Eagle Inn in Salford, Manchester.

Featuring a lineup of four folk acts that are not to be missed, expect a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for both seasoned folk musicians and spectators to enjoy shared songwriting and storytelling.

Expect epic lyrical tales, clog dancing, flute playing, cajon stomping, and guitar shredding as acoustic duo Nastee Chapel, NatalieGrace & Steve, perform original music and folk songs weaving together tradition and progression, fusing genres and influences to create a musical melting pot you've never heard before. 

Virtuoso musicianship meets crowd-pleasing tunes and storytelling. An old time feel that is timeless and heart-grabbing in its relevance today.

Nastee Chapel featured at the SIDE ROOM live Launch Party back in November, and have also warmed up crowds for Seth Lakeman, Afro Celt Sound System, The Trials of Cato and Merry Hell.

Joshua Arnold and Therine are a folk duo from the North West consisting of multi instrumentalist Joshua Arnold and vocalist Therine. 

As a live act they perform droning, instrumentally eclectic versions of songs in the British folk canon showcasing themes of the dark and macabre, creating doomy hurdy gurdy and vocal led arrangements alongside thudding Playford tunes and original experimental folk backed by dense upright bass, harmonium, drums and DIY instrument drones.

Leila's Dream are a psychedelic prog-folk outfit formed in Manchester in 2023,  boasting impressive dynamic range. From quiet intimacy in acoustic folk ballads to raucous cacophonies of noise, the band's arsenal is equipped with myriad sounds. 

The group take great inspiration from bands such as Spirogyra, Godspeed You! Black Emperor and Mount Eerie among many other artists. 

Back in March, Leila's Dream appeared as a 4 piece for the first time at the Monthly Spread; expect a similar setup at Summer Oak Folk as they present a more stripped-back, folksy sound with a rare appearance of woodwind instrumentation, violin and harmonium. The selection of songs on display focus sonically on repetitive psychedelia paired with lyrical observations on change, death and acceptance.
